Though set in Nepal, the famous bar
scenes with Marion Ravenwood were
filmed at Elstree Studios,
in Borehanwood.

It's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance!

Peter doubles for TOHT (Ronald Lacey)
as he flees the flaming bar.

As the fight rages and the flames lick higher,
our favourite black-coated Nazi reaches
for the precious headpiece to the Staff
Of Ra...

It burns!

Whereupon Toht takes flight, clutching his
branded hand. And as we pan past a post
we segue cleverly to Peter, doubling for
the character, dodging the fires and
leaping through a flaming doorway...
